Counsel Commons
About

A marketplace forinstructions.

Counsel Commons — loosely, a marketplace for instructions — was built on a simple belief: the legal industry improves when its people learn from each other.

This platform brings legal industry professionals together to share, teach, and build upon methodologies for better practice management. Whether it's billing strategy, client development, matter management, or emerging technology, peers here push one another — and the industry — toward continuous improvement. The goal is a legal market that serves more people, more effectively, and at greater value.

We also believe in professional ownership. As large frontier AI providers and platforms grow by the day, it can feel like independent expertise is being absorbed or replaced by a powerful few at the top. Counsel Commons exists to give everyone else a place to retain control over their work, monetize their skills, and stay relevant — on their own terms.

The name was a bit of a happy accident (many of the good ones were taken), but it fits: a commons, in the truest sense, belongs to the people who use it.
