BUILD Method™ Communication Analyzer
ByMindy Y.Attorney·Law Firm / Legal Business Management·Jurisdiction-neutral
About this tool
The BUILD Method™ Communication Analyzer evaluates attorney-client communications against a five-pillar framework developed by attorney and educator Mindy Yocum: Begin with the Human, Understand the Full Context, Identify Issues and Gaps, Lead with Empathy and Clarity, and Deliver and Follow Through. Paste in a client email, letter, intake script, voicemail, or training material and receive a structured analysis for each pillar — what is working, what is missing, and specific plain-language suggestions for improvement. Optionally request a fully rewritten draft. Each analysis includes a BUILD Alignment Score (1–10) and pillar-by- pillar coaching notes grounded in the BUILD Method™ framework. Designed for solo attorneys, small firms, legal aid practitioners, and anyone who wants to build stronger, more consistent client relationships through better communication. Outputs require professional review before any client-facing or firm-affecting use. This tool produces coaching aids and drafting assistance — not legal advice — and does not establish any attorney-client relationship.

Dear [Client Name], I wanted to update you on your case. The hearing is scheduled for [Date]. You will need to be there. Bring your ID and any paperwork you have. Call the office if you have questions. [Attorney Name]
BUILD METHOD™ ANALYSIS
==========================================
B — Begin with the Human
Strength: Opens with a direct update, which is efficient.
Gap: No acknowledgment of how the client may be feeling
about the hearing. The tone is transactional.
Suggestion: Add one sentence of human acknowledgment: "I know
hearings can feel stressful — here is what to expect."
U — Understand the Full Context
Strength: Provides the hearing date.
Gap: No acknowledgment of the client's circumstances,
barriers, or what "bring paperwork" means for them.
Suggestion: Specify exactly which documents are needed and ask
if there are any barriers to attending (transportation,
work schedule, childcare).
I — Identify Issues and Gaps
Strength: Notifies client of the date.
Gap: "Any paperwork you have" is vague — missing specifics
could create a problem at the hearing.
Suggestion: List required documents explicitly: "[Document A],
[Document B], and a valid photo ID."
L — Lead with Empathy and Clarity
Strength: Short and readable.
Gap: "You will need to be there" may read as a command
rather than guidance. No explanation of what happens
at the hearing.
Suggestion: Briefly explain what the hearing involves so the
client knows what to expect and feels prepared.
D — Deliver and Follow Through
Strength: Provides a call option.
Gap: No specific next step for the attorney. No confirmation
that the client received or understood the message.
Suggestion: Add: "I will follow up with you [X days] before the
hearing to answer any questions."

No reviews yet — be the first after you buy.
- Tools are starting points, like templates. Read every file in the bundle before running, modify for your workflow, and assess safety and legal implications for your use case.
- Outputs vary run-to-run. Generative AI is non-deterministic by design — the same tool on the same input can produce different results, and outputs can vary across sessions, model versions, and provider load conditions. Your input will differ and your model may differ, so you should expect your output to vary from the example above. Variance is normal, not a defect.
